Red-Hot Rampage Reaps RCL Reward Monday, August 13th, 2012 A battle-tested George Sanders declared war on opposing pitchers last week, attacking the ball like the well-schooled veteran he is. Today the 33-year-old Seattle first baseman collected the Roberto Clemente League Player of the Week Award. He wrapped up the week with a .478 average, 11 hits in 23 at-bats, 3 home runs, 7 RBIs and 5 runs scored. This year Sanders is batting .366 with 25 home runs. |
