Kansas City's Scott McGuicken Injured
Wednesday, August 1st, 2012
Dealing with injuries is part of the game, and now Scott McGuicken of the Tornadoes knows this firsthand. He was injured against the Eureka Hornets while throwing a pitch. Because of a damaged elbow ligament, the Kansas City starting pitcher is expected to miss 11 months. McGuicken was a little upset, but understands it comes with the territory. "Baseball can be a contact sport. You try to be careful, but no matter how careful you are, injuries happen."

This year McGuicken has compiled a 8-10 record with a 5.00 ERA.
