Bombers-Hops Swap: Murphy for Mills Monday, December 2nd, 2019 The South Carolina Bombers have parted ways with 27-year-old catcher Morgan Cairns, 26-year-old starting pitcher J.R. Murphy and 22-year-old minor league starting pitcher Bryn Embree in a trade with the San Diego Hops for 27-year-old starting pitcher Ted Mills, 24-year-old minor league first baseman Calvin Tyree and $3,000,000 in cash. The Bombers general manager confirmed the deal in an announcement this morning. Murphy has posted 11 victories and 12 defeats in his career with a 5.85 ERA. He also has fanned 121 batters in 160 innings and given up 185 hits. Lifetime Mills has chalked up 55 wins and 76 losses and compiled a 5.60 ERA. |
