Grays Star Wins Cy Young Award Monday, November 4th, 2019 The Georgia Grays have a rising superstar or maybe even a budding Hall-of-Famer in the making. It's George Alexander Lewis, this year's Thurman Munson League Cy Young Award selection. This blossoming hurler wowed fans, peers and sportswriters with a fabulous performance. Lewis compiled a 20-8 record in 36 starts, tallied 228 strikeouts in 252.2 innings and recorded a 2.60 ERA. Other clubs managed only a .223 batting average against him. |
