He did it! Alvin Baldwin smacked hit number 252 in a game at The Ballpark at Potomac Yard today to break the record for the most hits in a season, held previously by Tom Becker. The Montreal Bandits star got a tremendous standing ovation from the fans. Speaking after the game Alvin Baldwin told reporters, "It was a great moment in my life. Times like that don't come around that much. I shall always remember it."

Alvin Baldwin grounded out in the 1st, grounded out in the 2nd, singled in the 4th and walked in the 6th.

Thus far this year Baldwin is batting .390 with 7 home runs, 78 RBIs and 149 runs scored.
