Bussell Walks Away from the Game
Wednesday, September 18th, 2019
The Brooklyn Outlaws will have to find a new starting pitcher next year as veteran Rich Bussell is set to retire at the end of the 2019 campaign.

Bussell, age 36, is ready for retirement. "Time takes its toll on this old body. I can't do it as well as I want anymore. It's time to hang up the spikes and make way for a younger guy."

Bussell has chalked up a lifetime ERA of 3.66 with 98 victories and 69 defeats. He has totaled 1437 career strikeouts in 1495.2 innings while holding opponents to a .246 batting average.
