Peter Blanchard, the Minnesota Berserkers 25-year-old first baseman, put himself in the spotlight last week making him the clear-cut choice for Roberto Clemente League Player of the Week honors. He ripped 8 hits in 13 at-bats, compiling a .615 average with 2 home runs and 8 RBIs. For the season Blanchard is batting .343 with 180 hits and 40 home runs. He has scored 102 times and batted in 143. |
