Lewis Voted August's Rookie Award Sunday, September 1st, 2019 David Lewis earned August's Rookie of the Month honors in the Thurman Munson League for last month's performance. The boyish South Carolina center fielder might be wet behind the ears, but he's proving that he has what it takes to play at this level. Lewis hit .351 with 11 home runs, 20 RBIs and 28 runs scored this past month on his way to winning the award. This year Lewis is hitting .285 with 42 home runs and 92 RBIs to his credit. He has gotten on base at a .353 clip and scored 106 runs. |
