Roberto Clemente League Names Rookie of Month Sunday, September 1st, 2019 Kata Nishikawa's eyes seem to light up whenever he sees the baseball. The young Brooklyn right fielder has been hitting everything in sight for the better part of a month. In August he was voted the Rookie of the Month Award. During the month he hit .415 with 11 doubles, 1 triple and 5 home runs. Nishikawa also scored 28 times and drove in 33 runs. So far this season Nishikawa is batting .380 with 13 home runs, 83 RBIs and 74 runs scored. He has 128 hits in 337 at-bats, 24 walks and a .416 OBP. Nishikawa has played in 79 games. |
