Sutton Clips Tornadoes for Cycle Saturday, August 24th, 2019 Charlie Sutton had a banner day at the plate today, stringing together all four legs of the cycle as the Republic beat the Tornadoes 11-2. Sutton drilled 4 hits in 5 trips to the plate, collecting 2 RBI and scoring 4 runs to capture the win for So Cal. Charlie Sutton singled in the 1st, doubled in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Ernesto López in the 4th, struck out in the 6th and hit an RBI triple in the 8th. To date this year Sutton is batting .357 with 15 home runs. |
