Dallas's Valentín Goes Ballistic with 5 Hits Wednesday, August 21st, 2019 It was a great day for him at Skellington Stadium, but not a good day for his team. Bartolo Valentín of the Texans was unstoppable in today's 5-3 loss to the Jacksonville Jacks. "Boy, I was on the mark today," the Dallas center fielder said after the game. "All I had to do was swing, and I connected. It's a great feeling to do this. And besides, 5-5 won't hurt your batting average like 0-5 will. Losing the game is disappointing, but my hits at least gave us a chance." Bartolo Valentín singled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and hit a two-run triple in the 9th. This year Valentín has hit at a .298 pace and produced 43 RBIs, 14 home runs and scored 59 runs. |
