Las Vegas MR Roy Cole Injured
Wednesday, August 14th, 2019
The Las Vegas Jokers were dealt a severe blow when Roy Cole was hurt throwing a pitch recently in a game against the Seattle Sasquatch. After the game, the team trainer reported Cole might have to spend a lengthy time on the disabled list. Today doctors confirmed it, ruling the 32-year-old reliever out for the rest of the season with a stretched elbow ligament. They indicated it would take Cole at least 9 months to heal.

This year Cole has pitched 47.2 innings over 52 relief appearances, picking up 2 saves and held opponents to a .298 average. Cole has a 3-1 record with a 5.66 ERA and 65 strikeouts.
