Big Day with Bat: Hernández 5-7 Sunday, August 4th, 2019 The scorebook looked great for Víctor Hernández, but it looked dismal for his team, the Fort Worth Panthers. The 24-year-old right fielder had a great day at the plate with 5 hits, but his team went down to defeat. The San Diego Hops whipped them 17-16 today at The Brew Stade. Víctor Hernández hit a three-run home run off Henry McGowan in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, doubled in the 7th, hit an RBI single in the 9th and grounded out in the 10th. This season Hernández is swinging the bat at a .320 rate with 82 hits in 256 at-bats. To date he has hit 11 home runs, scored 52 runs and driven in 47. |
