Big Day for Franklin: Swats 5 Hits Sunday, July 21st, 2019 Thanks to Joel Franklin and his big bat, the Patriots derailed the San Diego Hops 14-8 today at The Brew Stade. The Manhatten Beach third baseman had a standout game with 5 hits in 5 at-bats. Joel Franklin was hit by a pitch in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Kazuhiko Kanno in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Ángel Reyes in the 8th and singled in the 9th. Currently Franklin has 7 home runs and a .360 batting average. |
