Nathan Mitchell out of Lineup 4 Months
Friday, July 5th, 2019
Nathan Mitchell at first refused to leave today's Jacksonville-Georgia game after he suffered a bone spur in his elbow while throwing a pitch. But his manager convinced him not to be foolish. "I want to be on the field," the feisty Georgia reliever said. "I'll play through just about anything." Given time to reflect on the situation, he knew it was in his best interest to get immediate treatment. The injury is expected to keep Mitchell out of action for 4 months.

This season Mitchell has claimed no saves and registered a 1-0 record with a 6.59 ERA. He has 22 relief appearances spanning 28.2 innings and has struck out 21.
