League Suspends So Cal C Gonzáles Thursday, July 4th, 2019 Edgardo Gonzáles of So Cal got more than he bargained for when he was ejected for arguing a third strike call in yesterday's game against the Washington Federals. It turns out that the ejection wasn't the end of it. Today, the league decided to suspend Gonzáles for 4 games for his actions which included a rant filled with inappropriate language and throwing equipment on the field once he returned to the dugout. "Players need to show more restraint on the field," the league's announcement said. "Gonzáles obviously crossed the line and we had to take the proper action against him." This season Gonzáles is batting at a .278 clip with 8 home runs and 24 RBIs. |
