Doug Walsh Out for 4-5 Months
Saturday, June 29th, 2019
The Montreal Bandits were dealt a severe blow when Doug Walsh was hurt throwing a pitch recently in a game against the Minnesota Berserkers. After the game, the team trainer reported Walsh might have to spend a lengthy time on the disabled list. Today doctors confirmed it, ruling the 26-year-old starting pitcher out for the rest of the season with a torn back muscle. They indicated it would take Walsh at least 4-5 months to heal.

To date this season Walsh sports a 4-5 mark with a 4.87 ERA in 15 starting assignments. He has held the opposition to a .296 batting average and has 44 strikeouts in 88.2 innings.
