Brown Goes 5-6 Against Washington Tuesday, June 25th, 2019 If just anyone could go out and hit a baseball, big dollar contracts wouldn't exist. But they can't, so the good hitters get the big bucks. Bob Brown showed how it's done as he went 5 for 6 against the Washington Federals and helped the Minnesota Berserkers beat them 22-13. The manager for the Federals told the BNN sportswriters, "We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it. That's the game of baseball. Don't make mistakes and you win a lot more ballgames." If Brown keeps hitting like this, he could be headed for a big pay raise. Bob Brown doubled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, flied out in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and singled in the 9th. So far this season Brown is batting .369 with 7 home runs, 33 RBIs and 41 runs scored. He has 90 hits in 244 at-bats, 17 walks and a .409 OBP. Brown has played in 56 games. |
