Hitting Streak Still Alive for López
Friday, June 21st, 2019
Pablo López of the So Cal Republic just keeps going and going. The hot-hitting left fielder went 2-for-5 in his team's 6-5 victory over the Fort Worth Panthers at Panthers Park and extended his hitting streak to 25 games.
"He is definitely on a roll right now" said a Panthers pitcher. "I thought I made some good pitches against him, but he's a good hitter and hit 'em anyway."
When asked about his performance, López said, "I don't care if I go hitless as long as we get the win." Pablo López singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, struck out in the 6th, struck out in the 7th and struck out in the 9th.
On the year López is hitting .307 with 87 hits, 17 home runs, 53 RBIs, .356 OBP and has scored 49 runs.
