TML Awards Best Batter Prize to Edgar Monday, June 10th, 2019 24-year-old John Edgar sent shock waves through ADULT BASEBALL LEAGUE last week with an eye-popping performance that brought him the Thurman Munson League Player of the Week Award. A newcomer to the league, Edgar made the establishment sit up and take notice, punishing opposing pitchers with a .346 average, 9 hits in 26 at-bats, 4 home runs and 9 runs batted in. Where the Georgia Grays left fielder goes from here, only the baseball gods know for sure, but Edgar certainly made his mark last week. This year Edgar has hit at a .307 clip with 35 RBIs, 12 home runs and 26 runs scored. |
