Bond Suspended, Out 3 Games
Tuesday, May 7th, 2019
Roosevelt Bond of Minnesota got more than he bargained for when he was ejected for arguing a third strike call in yesterday's game against the Kansas City Tornadoes. It turns out that the ejection wasn't the end of it. Today, the league decided to suspend Bond for 3 games for his actions which included a rant filled with inappropriate language and throwing equipment on the field once he returned to the dugout.
"Players need to show more restraint on the field," the league's announcement said. "Bond obviously crossed the line and we had to take the proper action against him."
For the year Bond is batting .228 with 18 hits and 1 home run. He has scored 8 times and driven in 4.
