Bad News for Jacksonville, Callahan Injured
Wednesday, May 1st, 2019
The Jacksonville Jacks learned that Elvis Callahan is likely to be out for 2 months after he injured himself throwing a pitch in today's game against the Fort Worth Panthers. A round of tests by the team doctor revealed the injury to be a torn meniscus. Upon hearing the diagnosis, the Jacksonville manager told the press, "As you all know, we can't control injuries -- they are a part of the game. We just have to do the best we can until Elvis is back in action."

In 6 starts this season Callahan has chalked up a 5-0 record and a 1.50 ERA.
