RF Lowell Anderson Hurt Friday, April 26th, 2019 Lowell Anderson at first refused to leave today's Manhatten Beach-South Carolina game after he suffered a strained rib cage muscle while running the bases. But his manager convinced him not to be foolish. "I want to be on the field," the feisty South Carolina right fielder said. "I'll play through just about anything." Given time to reflect on the situation, he knew it was in his best interest to get immediate treatment. The injury is expected to keep Anderson out of action for 4 weeks. This season Anderson has hit at a .330 clip with 20 RBIs, 7 home runs and 15 runs scored. |
