Red-Hot Bodin Scorches Cardinals Tuesday, April 23rd, 2019 It was a sensational day at the plate for Mathieu Bodin, but a letdown as well as the Toreros dropped the game 13-8 to the Cardinals. Nonetheless the Cabo San Lucas center fielder was pure misery for the Boston pitching staff. He left them shellshocked with 5 hits in 5 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting. "It's always good to get a bunch of hits in a game, but you also want to win. That's the important thing," Bodin said. The manager of the Cardinals told BNN reporters after the game, "Bodin put the ball into play. He really hit it hard. When you do that, you've got a pretty good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw him some pretty good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball." Mathieu Bodin singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a two-run single in the 6th and singled in the 8th. To date this year Bodin is batting .381 with 1 home run. |
