Baldwin 5-6 for Bandits
Wednesday, April 3rd, 2019
It seemed that Montreal second baseman Alvin Baldwin could do no wrong as the Bandits kayoed the Patriots 7-6 today as he rapped out 5 hits in 6 at-bats. Manhatten Beach pitchers couldn't get him out as Baldwin seemed to know which pitches they were throwing.
"I think the Bandits were stealing signs," growled one unhappy Manhatten Beach fan.
"I just felt good today. I saw the ball well and just wanted to make good contact and put the ball in play," said the jubilant Baldwin in the postgame press interview.
Alvin Baldwin singled in the 1st, hit a two-run double in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and singled in the 10th.
