Pedro López Will Miss 7-8 Months Wednesday, July 4th, 2012 The Greenville 84's were dealt a severe blow when Pedro López was hurt throwing a pitch recently in a game against the New York Mafia. After the game, the team trainer reported López might have to spend a lengthy time on the disabled list. Today doctors confirmed it, ruling the 37-year-old reliever out for the rest of the season with bone chips in his elbow. They indicated it would take López at least 7-8 months to heal. On the season López has delivered 4 saves in 39 relief appearances. He has 48 strikeouts in 54.1 innings with a 1.49 ERA and a 1-1 mark. |
