Ramsey Runs Hit String to 31 Straight Games Tuesday, September 11th, 2018 So Cal's 25-year-old first baseman Lou Ramsey has had a fine run at the plate over the last few weeks. His consecutive-game hitting streak has reached 31 games now. Today Ramsey extended the streak by going 1-4 against Capitalists pitching. The streak has brought him a degree of attention that he has tried to deflect. Ramsey always prefers to talk about his teammates' accomplishments rather than his own. After the Republic 4-0 triumph over Washington at Michigan & Trumball he downplayed his part in the victory. Lou Ramsey flied out in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, flied out in the 6th and singled in the 8th. This season Ramsey is batting .317 with 177 hits and 9 home runs. He has scored 98 times and has 59 RBI. |
