Nonetheless the New York second baseman was pure misery for the Oklahoma City pitching staff. He left them shellshocked with 5 hits in 5 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting. "It's always good to get a bunch of hits in a game, but you also want to win. That's the important thing," Kelly said. The manager of the Prowlers told BNN reporters after the game, "Kelly put the ball into play. He really hit it hard. When you do that, you've got a pretty good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw him some pretty good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball." Peter Kelly singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
