Major Injury Forces Petersen out of Baseball Sunday, August 5th, 2018 It looked bad when it happened during the game. Then, later on, one could tell from the grim faces in the Maple clubhouse that the team had lost Martin Petersen to a serious injury. Petersen, in fact, had sustained a torn labrum making a defensive play in yesterday's Marauders-Jokers game at Lucky 7 Ballpark. The right fielder's season -- and likely his baseball career -- is over at the age of 26. Currently Petersen has 12 home runs and a .219 batting average. |
