Rehab Road Tough For Hornets Mike Bergeron Wednesday, June 20th, 2012 The Eureka Hornets received some bad news when the team's medical staff announced that Mike Bergeron would miss even more time than had previously been expected. Bergeron, who is currently out with knee tendinitis, was evaluated by doctors yesterday and tests showed that the injury was not healing as quickly as they expected. Instead, the 22-year-old right fielder will have to spend another 2 weeks in treatment. This season Bergeron has banged out 60 hits in 226 at-bats for a .265 average with 11 home runs. He is getting on base at a .346 pace and his totals also include 39 RBIs and 34 runs scored. |
