MR Rafael Gonzáles Hurt Tuesday, June 19th, 2012 Baseball can be a contact sport at times. It can exact a harsh toll on a player's body. In a recent game against Montreal Bandits, Tomcats reliever Rafael Gonzáles was injured throwing a pitch and is expected to miss 5-6 months with shoulder inflammation. The team did not announce any roster moves today related to this injury. The San Diego skipper told BNN that personnel decisions would be announced as early as tomorrow. This season Gonzáles is 0-and-1 with 2 saves and a 5.16 ERA. He has given up 43 hits in 29.2 innings with 21 strikeouts. |
