García Shows Off, Hits for Cycle
Saturday, April 21st, 2018
You might say Octávio García wore out his welcome with the Oklahoma City Prowlers. The first baseman gave them fits in today's 9-2 New York victory by hitting for the cycle. "To hit for the cycle" is one of the rarest of feats in a baseball game. This occurs when a player hits a single, double, triple, and home run in the same game, getting every type of hit possible. García ended the day with 4 hits in 5 at-bats, 3 runs batted in and 3 runs scored.

Talking to reporters in the postgame interview, he said, "After the first three hits, I thought to myself, This could be the game I hit for the cycle. And I got lucky and did it."

Octávio García doubled in the 1st, struck out in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Scott Gorman in the 6th and hit an RBI triple in the 8th.

So far this year García has hit .337 with 4 home runs, 16 RBIs and 15 runs scored.
