Week's Top Performer Honored by TML Monday, June 11th, 2012 At the age of 29, Carlos Martínez might have some potential he hasn't realized yet -- if his success at the plate last week is any indication. The Cabo San Lucas catcher put up some exceptional numbers the past seven days with a .529 batting average. For his efforts Martínez collected the Thurman Munson League Player of the Week Award. He racked up 9 hits in 17 at-bats, 2 home runs and 6 RBIs last week in 5 games. Currently Martínez is hitting .207 and has collected 9 home runs, 31 RBIs and scored 34 times, while playing in 51 games. |
