ABL News: Draft Pool Revealed
Saturday, March 24th, 2018
With the 2018 rookie draft only 75 days away, teams across ADULT BASEBALL LEAGUE are preparing their scouting missions, trying to assess their long-term needs and hoping that they land the prospect that will positively define their club for the next few years. Most of the young men in the draft pool will have gone as far as they can go, but then, a few will surprise and pan out as quality -- or even great -- professional ballplayers.
For a complete listing of those entered in the draft, consult the newly created draft section on the Transactions page, which will be available for 75 days prior to draft day.
The top players available (in no particular order) seem to be: 1. Phil Decker, 22 year-old left fielder out of college. 2. Tom Cassidy, 21 year-old left fielder out of college. 3. Bartolo Valentín, 22 year-old center fielder out of college. 4. Andrew Weber, 21 year-old right fielder out of college. 5. Roy McDaniel, 22 year-old right fielder out of college. 6. Chris Glover, 22 year-old third baseman out of college. 7. Manuel Delvalle, 22 year-old right fielder out of college. 8. Mike Barnes, 22 year-old left fielder out of college. 9.
