Ortíz on Fire: 5-5 for Fort Worth Friday, September 29th, 2017 5 hits in 5 at-bats. It doesn't happen every day, and when it does, it's exciting. Today Juan Carlos Ortíz of the Fort Worth Panthers had a sensational game against Seattle at Panthers Park. He rifled base hits all over the ballpark in his team's 10-5 shellacking of the Sasquatch. In the postgame press conference he joked, "Heck, that's a week's worth of hitting for me and I did ,it all in one day. I guess I can take the rest of the week off. Right, skipper?" Juan Carlos Ortíz singled in the 1st, doubled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th and singled in the 7th. This year Ortíz has batted at a .278 pace with 147 hits, no home runs, 39 RBIs and scored 72 times. |
