Injury Forces John Kelly Out
Saturday, September 16th, 2017
The Boston Cardinals learned that John Kelly is likely to be out for 5 weeks after he injured himself running the bases in today's game against the Las Vegas Jokers. A round of tests by the team doctor revealed the injury to be an oblique strain. Upon hearing the diagnosis, the Boston manager told the press, "As you all know, we can't control injuries -- they are a part of the game. We just have to do the best we can until John is back in action."

On the year Kelly has hit .252 with 12 home runs, 44 RBIs and scored 27 runs.
