Super Swinger -- Hennessey Slams 5 Hits Sunday, August 6th, 2017 There are moments in a player's career that are etched into their memories forever. Bob Hennessey of the Eureka Hornets had one of those moments when he went 5 for 6 at the plate today in the 16-3 win over the Jersey Jesters at The Royal Court at Jersey Yards. The 25-year-old third baseman told reporters in the postgame interview, "This is a day I won't forget soon, but I'll settle to just get a hit or two every day... enough hits to hang around the league a little bit longer... like 10... 15 more years maybe." Bob Hennessey singled in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI double in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 5th and hit a two-run single in the 7th. Hennessey is hitting .281 this season with 4 home runs, 38 RBIs and 55 runs scored. He has 108 hits in 384 at-bats. |
