Capitalists Pitching Ravaged by Baba
Wednesday, April 12th, 2017
After the Montreal 12-4 victory over Washington and his 5-hit day designated hitter Masaki Baba told BNN beat writers, "It really doesn't matter whether it's sandlot ball, high school or college ball, two hits in a game are very good. Three or four hits even better, five or more are out of sight ... and if it is in pro ball, it is really something special."

The 23-year-old player gained that distinction today at Michigan & Trumball with a spectacular 5 for 6 game against the Washington Capitalists.

The skipper of the Bandits spoke glowingly of Baba, telling BNN writers, "His swing is getting there. We want him to be quick with his swing, short and compact. We want him to be patient and go the other way when he can. Masaki did that to perfection today."

Masaki Baba hit a solo-shot off Jorge Solís in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, singled in the 7th, hit an RBI double in the 8th and hit a two-run single in the 9th.

So far this year, Baba is batting .308 with 2 home runs and 7 RBIs.
