Morales Slaps 5 Hits Saturday, June 18th, 2016 Francisco Morales got the glory and the headlines today, while the Dallas Texans got the win. The Mile High third baseman easily handled Texans pitching, going 5 for 5, but the Mustangs came out on the short end of the score 6-5. He told BNN reporters in the postgame interview, "I'm glad I got the hits, but I would trade three or four of 'em for a win... maybe even all 5 of 'em." The Mustangs skipper added, "Well, it's a shame we didn't get the victory today, especially with his standout performance. Let's just hope our team can do better tomorrow." Francisco Morales doubled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI double in the 9th. This year Morales is hitting at a .298 pace with 7 home runs and 21 RBIs. He has played in 61 games and scored 34 times. |
