Ross Blanks Jacks Saturday, September 12th, 2015 Tony Ross had the Jacksonville Jacks dancing to his tune today with a sparkling 6-0 shutout performance for the South Carolina Bombers. He gave up 3 hits, issued no walks and had 4 strikeouts. Jacksonville hitters were bewildered throughout the game by his delivery. The opposing manager said, "When you face a guy who hides the ball like he does, it takes a couple of at-bats to try to find his release point. We just never figured him out." In 29 starts this season, Ross has recorded 11 wins and absorbed 11 losses. He has pitched 175.1 innings, allowed 189 hits, struck out 85 and has a 5.13 ERA. |
