5-Hit Blitz by Ann Arbor's Rodríguez Tuesday, September 1st, 2015 It seemed that Ann Arbor right fielder Lorenzo Rodríguez could do no wrong as the Barn Owls kayoed the Mafia 11-4 today as he rapped out 5 hits in 5 at-bats. New York pitchers couldn't get him out as Rodríguez seemed to know which pitches they were throwing. "I think the Barn Owls were stealing signs," growled one unhappy New York fan. "I just felt good today. I saw the ball well and just wanted to make good contact and put the ball in play," said the jubilant Rodríguez in the postgame press interview. Lorenzo Rodríguez singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Sixto Lavio in the 7th and hit a three-run double in the 8th. This season Rodríguez has hit at a .339 clip with 67 RBIs, 23 home runs and 71 runs scored. |
