Pearson Suffers Career-Ending Injury

There was sad news in the baseball world today when it was announced that the career of Seattle center fielder Kent Pearson was suddenly ended by a torn labrum. He was hurt making a defensive play during a game against the Texas Gunners. The crowd at The Battlefield feared the worst when Pearson had to be carried off the field in a stretcher to the team training room.
Pearson was taken to the hospital for tests after the game. Team doctors confirmed the diagnosis and said his career was over.
