RCL's Top Player, Whitney of Nottinghamshire Monday, September 29th, 2014 It's always a thrill for fans of the team and students of the game alike when a superstar in the making shows what he's got. Leslie Whitney, the Nottinghamshire Outlaws 22-year-old center fielder, put himself in the spotlight last week making him the clear-cut choice for Roberto Clemente League Player of the Week honors. He ripped 13 hits in 21 at-bats, compiling a .619 average with 1 home run and 5 RBIs. Whitney is hitting .358 so far this season with 97 RBIs and 126 runs scored. He has 203 hits including 10 home runs, 107 walks and .468 OBP. |
