Republic McDonald Suffers Injury Saturday, September 13th, 2014 The So Cal Republic learned that Lewis McDonald is likely to be out for 7 months after he injured himself throwing a pitch in today's game against the New York Mafia. A round of tests by the team doctor revealed the injury to be a torn labrum. Upon hearing the diagnosis, the So Cal manager told the press, "As you all know, we can't control injuries -- they are a part of the game. We just have to do the best we can until Lewis is back in action." So far this year McDonald has made 32 relief appearances with 1 save, thrown 51 innings and struck out 42 with a 3-1 record. |
