Major Injury Befalls White of Boston
Friday, September 12th, 2014
The expression on his face said it all when shortstop John White was injured colliding with a player at a base today in a game at The Nest against Eureka. You could tell that this was no minor injury. White was examined quickly by the team doctor and immediately rushed to the local hospital. After several tests, the diagnosis was a concussion, and in this case, it means his career is over. The Boston Cardinals issued the following statement: "It is with great sadness that we see John ending his career due to injury. He was a great competitor and teammate and will be missed by the Cardinals organization." White is 24 years old.

Presently White is batting .285 with 107 hits and 4 home runs. He has knocked in 49 runs and scored 47 times.
