Roberto Clemente League Names Rookie of Month Friday, August 1st, 2014 Tim Raines earned July's Rookie of the Month honors in the Roberto Clemente League for last month's performance. The boyish Montreal center fielder might be wet behind the ears, but he's proving that he has what it takes to play at this level. Raines hit .321 with 6 home runs, 27 RBIs and 28 runs scored this past month on his way to winning the award. In this current campaign Raines is hitting at a .303 clip with 9 home runs and 45 RBIs. |
