Cruz Hits in 20 Straight Games
Wednesday, July 2nd, 2014
The Tornadoes proved to be mere mortals today as they lost to the Grays 7-4, but Jesús Cruz continued his god-like hitting as he collected 2 hits and ran his hitting streak to 20 games.

When asked about his torrid-hitting first baseman, the Kansas City skipper said, "Cruz is playing great and is on fire now. Hopefully his play can spark the rest of our team and help us pick up some wins."

Cruz was apparently not happy with the game and when pressed by reporters in the locker room only said, "We lost the game. Nothing else really matters."
Jesús Cruz singled in the 1st, grounded out in the 4th, struck out in the 6th and hit a three-run home run off Tony Davidson in the 8th.

This season Cruz has 22 home runs and a .328 batting average.
