Smiley Is June's Top Starter Tuesday, July 1st, 2014 Veteran Larry Smiley put together quite a successful stretch in June for the Nottinghamshire Outlaws, earning himself the Roberto Clemente League Pitcher of the Month award. Smiley racked up a 4-0 record in 5 starts, posting a 0.94 ERA over 38.1 innings and striking out 22. So far this year Smiley has made 15 starts, tossed 96.1 innings, struck out 51 batters and walked 26. His record is 9-2 with a 4.58 ERA and he has limited opposing teams to a .268 batting average. |
