Armando Rodríguez Sidelined for 3 Months
Tuesday, June 10th, 2014
The Kansas City Tornadoes learned that Armando Rodríguez is likely to be out for 3 months after he injured himself running the bases in today's game against the Nottinghamshire Outlaws. A round of tests by the team doctor revealed the injury to be a strained anterior cruciate ligament. Upon hearing the diagnosis, the Kansas City manager told the press, "As you all know, we can't control injuries -- they are a part of the game. We just have to do the best we can until Armando is back in action."

This year Rodríguez has 8 home runs and a .332 batting average.
