Blanchard Bashes 5 Base Hits Tuesday, August 6th, 2013 Peter Blanchard really sizzled at the plate in today's 7-5 win over Capitalists. The Minnesota first baseman blistered Washington for 5 hits in 6 at-bats. "Blanchard was too tough to get out today," the Capitalists skipper said in the postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too." Peter Blanchard hit an RBI single in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and struck out in the 10th. For the year Blanchard is batting .390 with 31 home runs, 97 RBIs and 79 runs scored. |
